This policy explains how Daily Haven collects, uses and protects personal information when you use dailyhaven.co.za or buy from us, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). It applies to individuals and to businesses that buy from us. We never sell your information.

2. What we collect and why

We get this information from you, and payment and delivery status from Payfast and our couriers. Your contact and delivery details are required to fulfil an order; without them, we cannot complete it. Tax and company law requires us to keep records of your purchases.

3. Who we share it with

We share only what is needed, with:

• Payfast, for payments
• PUDO and The Courier Guy, for deliveries
• Our website host and email provider, to run the site and send order emails
• Our accountant, and authorities when the law requires it
• Google, to measure advert performance (only if you accept advertising cookies)

These providers must keep your information secure and confidential. Some may store data outside South Africa. When they do, we transfer it only where POPIA section 72 allows.

4. Marketing

We send promotions only if you opt in, or, if you have bought from us, about similar products. Every message lets you unsubscribe or reply STOP. Opting out does not stop messages about your orders.

5. Cookies

We use essential cookies for your cart, checkout, login and security. With your consent, we also use Google Ads cookies to measure how our adverts perform. You can accept or decline these in the cookie banner and change your choice at any time via the cookie settings link. Our visitor statistics do not use cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

6. Security and retention

The site uses SSL encryption, and card payments are handled entirely by Payfast. Access to customer data is restricted. We will notify you and the Information Regulator of any data breach that affects you.

We keep order and payment records for 7 years, as company law requires, and keep other information only as long as it is needed. You stay on our marketing list until you opt out.

7. Your rights

You may ask us to show you, correct or delete your information, or object to its use, including for marketing. Email support@dailyhaven.co.za with the subject “Privacy request”. We will verify your identity and respond within 30 days.

You may also complain to the Information Regulator.

8. Children

Our store is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18 without a parent’s or guardian’s consent.
